The Witch and the Wizard

This is one of my favorite books. It is just the best. The reason I am blogging about this one today is because I thought it was only one book. (again!) But there is a series. In this book there is a new government. This government wants everything to be perfect. It is called the New Order. The One Who Is The One wants to track down all Wizards, Witches, and anybody with an Imagination. Suddenly, Whit, and Wisty, have TOSTO (The One Who Is The One) at their door. They are accused of being Witches and Wizards. Wisty and Whit go thorough the process of being a juvenile prisoner, without a fair trial, and face many struggles. Along the way they discover what is left of the world, what the N.O really is, and who they really are. This book is astounding with a plot twist coming at you every minute! It truly is, a great book.

Gathering Blue!

This book is the next book of the Giver quartet. It's a little bit easier to explain too. So, there is this girl called Kira. Kira's mother recently passed away due to sickness. She watched her spirit drift away herself. Kira's mother was an excellent weaver. She had fixed, and embroidered a lot of the stitches on the singer's  robe. Now Kira is being faced with a trial, The scarred women who wants to leave her for the beasts to get her because she is crippled,  eats to much, takes up space, slow, ETC. When she faces the trial, the result is astonishing. She was taken in to be help weave new designs on to the singers robe. But first, she must learn the dyes. She meets the woman who knows the dyes, (FOUR SYLLABLES OLD!!!) and trys to learn ASAP. She, and her friend Matt, along with the Carver, make many discoveries, along with the dark secrets....

This book does not pick up the story of Jonas, instead you hear this awestruck story and later find out why we know Kira's mission. I, love this book. It has a great plot and is appropriate fro young readers. Yet while reading this booked, I warn you, you will get hooked. The way Lois Lowery writes is so, so, simple. You have to figure out what is going on, and how this world works by your self. Just like in the Giver. I hope ya'll enjoy this book, don't forget to leave a like and comment!

Charlie

Today, Charlie was put to sleep. (our cat) His kidneys were failing, and he was diabetic. Last Saturday he vomited, and became very lethargic. Since then. we took him everyday to the doctors office. After they did everything they could, the vet said, "It's best to let him go.". We spent this last night and this morning with him. I now know that he was more than just a cat, but a part of our family. ):

This is him with my other cat Brownie.

Here is Charlie basking in the sun.

This is what we left the vet with...):

THE MOVIE V.S THE BOOK

A LONG time ago, i had just finished reading I am Number Four. I wanted to see if there was a movie, so I was surfing Amazon Video and found it! ( Please note that the movie cost 4 bucks to rent for a day.) I finally got a chance to watch it on my BIRTHDAY! So, Sunday night we hopped onto the couch, logged into Amazon Video, and watched it.

Image it showed on Amazon

The movie has a lot things that are different. When watching it, it reveals secrets that you shouldn't know yet. It's plot is a little different. But most of the main things that happen in the first book are in there. There is some powers/what-powers-can-do that is a little different too.

In my opinion the book is better, and you might want to read the first two books before you watch this movie. The book has WAY more aspects and details. Yet, as all readers know, it is always fun to see how another reader interpreted the story.  That's the post for today, Like this post if you want to have more of these type of posts!

PS: comment below what you thought of the book and movie.
