First, there is this guy, Eragon. Eragon is a human, he's pretty average. He lives with his uncle, and has a cousin that he treats like more than a brother. He's mother left him with Garrrow, his uncle, when was but a baby. Eragon is a great hunter and has a small rivalry with the butcher Sloan. One day, during his hunting, Eragon finds a deep hole in the forest It was hot around all the edges. In the middle, there was stone, Glittering blue. He picked it up and carried it home. He and his uncle, went to Carvahall ( a near by town ) to see if it be worth any thing. They took it the jeweler. But the jeweler said, "It's hollow!" So, they gave up on the stone. Eragon put the stone in his pocket and forgot about it. Later, he listened to a story of blood and revenge. It was about the rise of their apparent evil king, Galbotroix. ( It's spelled something like that.) The story was told by Carvahall's storyteller, Brom. That night, Eragon sat in his room. He kept slightly tapping the stone, listening the music it made, for it was hollow. Then it rolled off his desk. Eragon picked it up. The stone shattered...
